Brown: So are you going to run for governor? Barkley: I plan on it in 2014. Brown: You are serious. Barkley: I am, I can't screw up Alabama. Brown: There is no place to go but up in your view? Barkley: We are number 48 in everything and Arkansas and Mississippi aren't going anywhere.Dammit, the man stole my campaign motto: "Vote Drezner -- he can't screw it up any worse."
You do know that he's made Alabama his permanent residence, right? It has one of the weirdest residency requirement laws to run for elected office. You have to be an Alabama resident for like 8 or 10 years. Speaking of Alabama, he should run for mayor of Birmingham. Last I heard, they were gonna go bankrupt(Yes, like Orange County, CA, did).
That's the slogan of every person running for Congress, isn't it? Yet they continue to prove it wrong...
Send him out on the campaign trail. He can be a bookend to Joe the Plumber. At least he is refreshingly candid about politics. A nice momentary break from the typical trash served up to us by the illuminati MSM.
Don't be so down on yourself, Professor. Sure you can, I have faith in you!
Hey, Stephen Harper won a minority government in Canada with the motto,
"We're better off with Harper."

Joe Klein's Conscience,
It's seven years. Alabama is Barkley's home state and if he were elected, once he took office, he would fulfill the eligibility requirement.
I lived in Huntsville, AL for several years and one side of my family has roots there back to the late 18th century.
The state's history has been riven with truly bad governors: George and Lurleen Wallace, Fob James, Guy Hunt, Jim Folsom among the most notorious. barkley can only be an improvement.
Come on down, man ... I'll vote for you!
Well, his background doesn't leave him *less* qualified than Reagan, Ventura, or Schwarzenegger. AFAIK, none had particularly horrible tenures and one went on to higher office.
