Readers are encouraged to improve upon Entertainment Weekly and discuss which sexy movies were thoughtlessly omitted from the list.
First thing I noticed was the number of those movies I hadn't seen. I better get my nose out of Playboy and pay attention to my Netflix queue.
I think a list with Tracy-Hepburn and Bringing up Baby would be a bit much. (Though Pat and Mike might have brought some pleasent middle age to the list.)
I thought the omission of Atlantic City unfortunate. (That would be your second Sarandon. Though I guess you could replace Bound with The Hunger, and get all the girl on girl writhings with another helping of Sarandon.)
As you might expect, this list was short on offerings from much earlier than 1985. I would have thrown in something with Jean Harlow ("Red Dust") and Astaire-Rogers ("Gay Divorcee", "Carefree", "Swing Time", and Barbara Stanwyck ("The Lady Eve").
There are sexy scenes here and there, but it's hard to think of a movie that is sexy in its entirety. I really like the seduction scene in In the Line of Fire, in which Clint Eastwood seduces Renee Russo with some nice piano playing and meaningful dialogue.
"Bound" definitely deserves to be on the upper half of the list; also, I'm glad Hong Kong got its due shout out with "In The Mood For Love".
Glaring omission: "Scarface"... Aside from the fact that Tony so loved Elvie, I'll throw the the "Scarface-Economist's-Definition-of-Power" back at you Professor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ7HZATMKBY Tony really was a romantic...
In no particular order:
My Son the Fanatic (Om Puri & Rachel Griffiths)
The Grifters (John Cusack & Annette Bening)
A Rage in Harlem (Robin Givens in the whole movie)
Presumed Innocent (Gretta Scachi)
What a sexy scene indeed! Law-abiding, conservative hot police chick falls for charming baddy who isn't really that bad if you get to see him naked.
Original.
I am so with you on Thomas Crown Affair.
Sex and Lucia, chiefly for introducing Paz Vega to so many of us and Jamon, Jamon (sadly, not yet on DVD) for doing the same with Penelope Cruz.
Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands should also be on the list as well as a Chilean film called En La Cama.
The Conformist
The Quiet American
To Have and Have Not
The Comedians
Presumed Innocent
Second (or third) In the Mood for Love. That's a damn romantic movie.

Forgot Barkin
The Big Easy
Sea of Love
Witness
Since this thread is almost complete I feel I can sneak in a confession that Kelly McGillis in Witness briefly made me consider the advantages of turning Amish. I am so completely over that by this time.
Alien.
Sliver. By far.
